It’s no secret that two of our favourite shows on the telly box are Strictly Come Dancing and Love Island, so you can imagine our excitement back in 2023 when Love Island 2018 bombshell Zara McDermott became the first Islander to take part in the BBC dance competition.
Then, last year, Love Island 2022’s Tasha Ghouri made it all the way to the final with her dance partner Aljaž Škorjanec – but she just missed out on the Glitterball trophy to Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell.
Could 2025 be the year that a Love Islander finally wins Strictly? We’ve got a good feeling about it, especially following the reports that an iconic Love Island winner has signed up.

According to reports, Dani Dyer – who married her footballer fiancé Jarrod Bowen this past weekend – is one of the first Strictly 2025 contestants to sign on the dotted line.
A source told The Sun, ‘Bosses are thrilled she’s agreed to take part and are ironing out her fee.
‘She’s bubbly, down-to-earth and straight-talking and producers reckon she’ll make an ideal contestant — not to mention the bonus of having Jarrod and dad Danny in the audience supporting her.’

Dani isn’t the only reality star who could be competing on the ballroom floor either, as it’s thought that former Made in Chelsea star Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo has also be ‘in talks’ for Strictly.
‘Georgia is in talks to join – she would bring glamour, poise and fun to the show,’ a source told The Mirror.
‘She’s been a huge hit on all the telly shows she’s done and would be a popular contestant on Strictly.’

The news comes after Dani tied the knot to England footballer Jarrod Bowen in a lavish ceremony in the Buckinghamshire countryside surrounded by friends and family including her former EastEnders star dad Danny Dyer and Love Island bestie Georgia Steel.
In an Instagram post, the reality star said her wedding day was ‘the best day of my entire life’ and ‘a day that I will want to relive forever’.
